Mike's Long-term Care Story at Heartland of Chillicothe
"I came to Heartland of Chillicothe about three years ago following a hospitalization for symptoms of advancing Parkinson’s disease. The staff have been extremely kind to me and have helped me through various struggles during my stay. They have worked with me to make sure I have a compatible roommate and that is very important to me. There is a lot of stress in the world right now with the coronavirus (COVID-19), but the staff at Heartland have tried their best to keep us cheered up and busy with activities. One of the nurses even gave me a sharp looking haircut since the barber is not allowed to come in during the visitation restrictions. I recently came to the realization that I will most likely not be returning to the community for independent living. I feel sure most people would prefer to be in their own home if possible, but if that isn't an option, Heartland of Chillicothe is the next best place to be." - Mike, Resident at Heartland
