"I always led a fulfilling and independent life. It started with the many languages I began to learn in high school, followed by the college studies I completed in France. I have travelled throughout most of the United States and Canada. I have had successful careers in business, sales and teaching. I have spent some time as a professor of differential calculus, and also taught as a substitute teacher in the local school system. I also enjoy playing the organ and harpsicord.

Then at the beginning of 2020, I suffered from a non-traumatic brain injury. This resulted in a long hospital stay, memory loss and the inability to speak or walk. Following my hospital stay I chose ManorCare Health Services - Easton (PA) for my skilled nursing and rehabilitation needs. I am determined to increase my speaking capabilities so I can work with people again one day.

I am calling to thank the staff of ManorCare Easton for the phenomenal care my mother, Celeste, receives. I want to recognize Diane, Julie, Ed, Rhonda, Nancy, business office personnel and the speech therapist. It was such a blow to my family when my mother suffered a stroke. Diane and Julie held my hand, helping me through the procedure of admitting my mother, a former nurse and teacher. I was introduced to Ed, the Administrator, and I met the team through a conference call. Everyone was helpful. They offered explanations for each process and answered questions. My mother sang Happy Birthday to me. Thank you to the speech therapist for this wonderful surprise. I am very grateful and appreciative to everyone for giving my family hope.
