"I could not believe my eyes when I entered my own private recovery suite at Heartland Health Care Center - Oakland. It was a great honor to be the first patient to use their Recovery Suite. I was able to do all my physical and occupational therapy right from the privacy of my own room, at my own pace. I did not have to worry about coming into contact with any other patients during my short stay. I especially enjoyed working with my occupational therapist, Supryia. She also helped me set up Facebook on the iPad that was provided in my room, so I was able to stay in contact with my children. PRIVATE RECOVERY SUITES

Rehab Recovery Suites are patient rooms outfitted with the rehab equipment,
supplies and items for activities of daily living to support a patient’s plan of care in a
safe environment. The goal of the suites is to help patients recover quickly and move
to their next level of care whether it is back home, in an assisted living community or
even within our facility. Rehab Recovery Suites have been created to provide better
patient outcomes within the privacy of the patient’s room instead of a communal
environment.

This was my second time to rehab at Heartland of Oakland, and I didn’t think it could be any better than the previous stay. It was a wonderful stay and accomplished my goal to self-sufficiently go home and live alone. The care, staff and especially the food were all top-rated. Margaret Dimond's mother, Irene, came to MedBridge at Heartland Health Care Center - Oakland after a stroke. Irene was unable to walk and had difficulty feeding herself, but after working with our therapy and nursing teams, she was able to walk with a walker and feed herself independently.
