My Recovery Story: ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Oak Lawn East)
Josephine admitted to ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Oak Lawn East, IL) from Advocate Christ Medical Center after experiencing several falls at home. During her stay at ProMedica, her care was also followed by Dr. Toguem.
“During my time at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, the CNA’s, Ebony and Veronica, were johnny-on-the-spot. The nursing team was very nice, helpful and caring. When I would put my call light on, they would take care of my needs in a timely fashion.
Renee, Andrea, Tim and Shannon were my therapists. They were helpful with teaching me how to stand and reach for my walker properly. They taught me exercises that I could do to regain my strength in my shoulder and to get the strength so I would not be wheelchair bound.
Even after my rehab at ProMedica, I concluded that home was not the safest place for me, I needed to go to assisted living. Amy, my social worker, was able to help me find placement. She sent out my referral and I’ve been accepted to Moraine Court Supportive Living. I really appreciate her hard work to make sure I was safely discharged.
I will recommend ProMedica to others, and if I ever need to, I will come back myself.” – Josephine
