I just wanted to thank the wonderful staff at ManorCare for their tremendous helpfulness and kindness toward my dad, Bryan. My dad is a bit unusual in that his illness is terminal, and he will most likely be a long-term resident. Every concern we have had regarding my dad has been addressed with respect, courtesy and kindness.

I live in California, where my dad lived until two years ago, and it has been difficult helping from so far away. We flew up to visit last month, and our social worker, Nori, actually organized a meeting, not only with my dad and brother and me, but also Dr. Wilkerson. I know Nori recently left your facility, but I can't praise her enough, or Dr. Wilkerson, who took so much time with our family that day, and was completely empathetic and helpful listening to my dad's concerns, and ours.

I would also like to give high praise to your business manager, Theresa. We have a complicated family situation with my dad, and Theresa not only called for clarification on issues, but has been in constant e-mail contact. She has done nothing but be informative, helpful, kind and courteous. I am forever grateful to her for helping to get my dad's paperwork and financial issues in order. Knowing she is part of his care team has eased my stress tremendously.

Finally, I would like to thank the patient nurses and wonderful front desk person, Sarah, who more than once has kindly run over to my dad to let him know I have been trying to reach him (he does not always hear his cell phone). Everyone has been so attentive and caring toward this very special person in my life, my dad. Thank you again for all your tremendous kindness. It means so much to our family.

My father was in your Tacoma facility on and off for a few months until he passed away in March. My mother recently had a short stay in your facility until she was released to go back to her home. During both of their stays, it was a pleasure to interact with Zoe. I really don’t know what her position is; she was at the front desk when you entered. She is always so friendly and helpful. If she didn’t know the answer, she would find it out. I truly believed she cared about the patients and their families.
